Abraham Lincoln Kentucky boyhood home Tavern at Knob Creek

Lincoln Tavern at Knob Creek NPS

The image is of an older sunburnt log home that Abraham Lincoln’s childhood was surrounded by. The logs are gray after years of not being maintained or stained and suffer from sunburn. Between each log is old-style chinking. The cabin has what appears to be an upstairs based on the gabled windows along the roof. The roof looks like modern shingles. There seems to be an old brick fireplace. The setting is open, and it appears to be a clear fall day.
